The Licking County Veterans Alliance will conduct military honors at the mausoleum
A funeral service celebrating the life of Dale Robert Brown, age 51, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 9, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service. Entombment will take place at Newark Memorial Gardens mausoleum where the Licking County Veterans Alliance will conduct military honors.
Dale passed away on February 6, 2018 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center after a two-and a half year battle with cancer. He was born January 11, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York to Robert and Patricia (Travis) Brown.
Dale was a graduate of Dixie Collins High School in Pinellas Park, Florida. After high school he proudly represented his country by serving in The United States Army for 25 years. During his career he was stationed in Hawaii, Germany and Kansas. He retired as a decorated recruiter. Dale also enjoyed collecting watches and recently trains. For those who were fortunate enough to know Dale knew he was very strong mentally and physically.
He is survived by his husband, Chad Lennington of Newark; a daughter, Ginger Marie (Kyle) Durbin of Lexington, Kentucky; his mother, Patricia Brown; three brothers, Matthew Brown, Bobby Brown and Sonny Brown; two sisters, Sharon Hamilton and Chrissy Hand.
He was preceded in death by his father.
