A funeral service celebrating the life of Frank D. Snedeker, age 64, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 15, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Jerry Mears, officiating.
Frank passed away on January 10, 2018 at the Heath Nursing Care Center. He was born January 11, 1953 in Newark, Ohio to the late Tom and Delores (Johnson) Snedeker.
Frank was passionate and dedicated to his faith and beliefs and worshiped at The Old Country Church located on South Fifth Street. He was a proud member of the congregation and proud of his Brother Tommy's efforts in founding the church, which he and his family attended faithfully since 1989.
Frank loved to attend events that his children and grandchildren participated in. He was a very kind and generous person, giving his time and energy to always helping others. He enjoyed playing bingo and had previously been a loving foster parent. Frank loved to play Santa for friends and family to make them smile. He also loved to seek out treasures at yard sales and spent much of his time working with the Licking County Food Pantry Network site located at The Old Country Church, picking up and delivering donated food several times a week. Most of all he deeply LOVED his grandchildren, his family and his friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda K. (Wallace) Snedeker, whom he married on Feb 4, 1972; a son, Frank Michael (Angel) Snedeker of Newark; a daughter, Linda Cherie Snedeker of Newark; six brothers, Steve Snedeker, Tony Snedeker, Jeff Snedeker, Mark Snedeker, Tim Snedeker and Robby Snedeker; a sister, Nancy Specht and their spouses; four grandchildren, Megan, Kaydee, Vanessa and Michael; and many nieces and nephews and their families, and chosen family, Judy Holm, Mike Brown and Tyrel Erickson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Snedeker and Michael Snedeker, as well as his Brother in God, Steve Holm.
Friends and relatives may call two hours prior to the service (from 9-11 a.m.) on Monday, January 15, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark.
