A graveside service celebrating the life of Thomas D. “Bud” Drumm, age 80, of St. Louisville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, at Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Wes Humble officiating.
Bud passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 in Newark, Ohio at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). He was born April 1, 1939 in Newark, Ohio to the late Lawrence W. and Mary K. (Freeman) Drumm.
Bud enjoyed attending auctions, meeting friends for morning coffee and telling stories with his best friend, Pappy. He had a soft spot for animals, especially making sure the neighborhood strays always had a meal. He was a deeply devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He served in the United States Army, first coming out of Fort Knox Tank Training Division, then serving in Korea as part of the 54th MP “Dragon Maulers” Company and finishing his enlistment assigned to CDEC, Fort Ord, CA.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mildred E. “Midge” (Myers) Drumm; a son, Thomas E. (Mary) Drumm of Rapid City, South Dakota; a daughter, April Drumm of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two grandchildren, Chad (Natalie) Drumm of Ogden, Utah and Brandon Drumm of Rapid City, South Dakota; one great-grandchild, Cid Drumm of Ogden, Utah; and beloved niece, Kim (Drumm) Dotson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Pat, Sis and Jo; and two brothers, Jr, Jim and Rich.
The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark is assisting the family with arrangements.
