A funeral service celebrating the life of Wilma Juanita Moss, age 75, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
Wilma passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 in Newark, Ohio at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). She was born June 14, 1944, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Alva P. and Bessie Mae (Smith) Glancy.
Wilma was kind-hearted and was always there to help those in need. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and oil painting. At times, she was set in her Irish ways, and will long be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Eric E. Moss; a brother, Floyd E. Glancy; four granddaughters, Andrianna M. McCoy, Katelyn B. Moss, Jakobi E. Moss and Jahmarey A. Moss; two great-grandchildren, Lyanah McCoy and Ambellina Carpenter.
In addition to his parents, Wilma was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, February 19, from 9-10:30 a.m. at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wilma’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
So sorry to hear about sis we were close friends I met her when she moved to Arizona many years ago I kept in touch with her here and there we will miss her may she Rest In Peace
