A funeral service celebrating the life of Pamela Sue “Pam” Gordon, age 56, of Newark will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
Pam passed away Monday, August 12, 2019, at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. She was born February 13, 1963 in Zanesville, Ohio to Jerry Deitrick and Linda (Henning) Wood.
Pam deeply cared for her family and grandchildren, always making sure their needs were taken care of before her own. Pam was a Cleveland Indians fan, and also enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years, Jeffrey “Jeff” Gordon, whom she married on October 9, 1992; two sons, Chase (Tera Looker) Gordon and Paul Dorsey; a daughter, Lindsey Gordon; her mother, Linda Wood; stepdaughter, Courtney Dyar; a brother, Chad (Jennifer) Wood; a sister, Belinda (Brian) Bruce; and six grandchildren, Brayden, Maddie, Norah, Charlotte, Kenton, and Liam.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Austin Bruce.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, August 15, from 9-11 a.m. at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark.

TOTALLY SHOCKED -- to see this. I worked with PAM for a few years. We liked to TEASE each other a lot. She was FUN and very SWEET and SPECIAL young lady.
